Bridging the Gap Between Traditional Rigor and 10x Hyper-Growth Agility

KAIA Claims was built by someone who has been through all phases - from scrappy pre-IPO chaos to $50B+ global maturity.

Who We Are

KAIA Claims is led by Principal Strategic Advisor Sharif Ishaque - a growth architect across 60+ International Markets who joined Uber when the company generated $5B in revenue and left when it reached $50B. That journey - through hyper-growth, pre-IPO pressure, and global operational maturity - is the operating heritage behind every KAIA engagement.

Before Uber, Sharif built his foundation at AIG for 8 years, as a Complex adjuster, additionally using this time to obtain Chartered Insurance qualifications before taking on Transformations, Migrations, Sr Leadership & Operations across Motor, Casualty, Property & Energy, Marine, Trade Credit & Political Risk Insurance LOBs. KAIA combines both: the technical rigor of a traditional global insurer and the speed & efficiency of a hyper-growth tech company.

We do not just advise. We provide operational blueprints that protect your brand on the march toward IPO - transforming claims from a black box cost center into a transparent, high-performance growth engine.

Why KAIA Exists

Mid-to-late stage scale-ups are particularly vulnerable to claims black box problems: fragmented data, over-reliance on TPAs, sticky-plaster governance, and a lack of confidence in the numbers that Underwriters, Chief Operating Officers and Boards rely on.

These are not just Operational problems - they are reputation risks that can derail an IPO or erode investor trust at exactly the wrong moment.

KAIA exists to prevent those critical pitfalls. We architect the claims growth engine that runs reliably in the background - so leadership can stay focused on revenue, product, and scale.

Sharif Ishaque | Founder and Principal Strategic Advisor, KAIA Claims
"I believe the best leaders I have ever worked with shared one quality: they were relentlessly honest about what they did not know. The claims function is still, in most growth companies, a genuine black box - and that gap between what leadership thinks is happening and what is actually happening costs real money and real brand equity. My mission with KAIA is to open that black box. Not to create a dependency on me - but to leave you with the frameworks, the data confidence, and the team capability to sustain the gains independently. That is the warm handover I promise every client."

The KAIA Framework: 5 Strategic Pillars

The Warm Handover Promise

Most consultants build dependency - you need them to keep the engine running. KAIA is designed differently. Every engagement is structured toward a clear closing mission: passing on the knowledge, frameworks, and governance habits to your internal team so they can sustain the gains and take them further.

This appeals especially to leadership teams building internal maturity ahead of an IPO or major funding round - you want to demonstrate that the operation works without external scaffolding.
